Our cancer support services provide emotional, practical and non statutory advocacy support to people over 55 living in Maidstone and Malling affected by cancer

Here at Involve we understand that living with Cancer can feel lonely and may cause a range of emotions and needs that affect daily life. We will meet with you to understand what the most Important issues are to you and the impact your diagnosis has had on your life. We aim to provide a service that responds directly to your individual needs and wishes and to enable you to make your own decisions and be in control. These can include practical or emotional issues that may not be met by Statutory services.

Support includes

  • 1-to-1 Support from Cancer Support Coordinator and trained volunteers

  • Accessing information and Guidance

  • Group peer support

  • I CAN (Involve Cancer) Exercise class

  • Transport to appointments/consultations

  • Attending consultations to provide moral support for you to ask questions or understand information

  • Someone to act as a sounding board for decision making and future planning

  • Someone to listen to help reduce feelings of fear, anxiety, loneliness and isolation

  • Access to other involve services including support for carers, hospital discharge, handyman and gardening and a range of activities and events
