We run co-ordinated activities for young people with autism spectrum conditions and mental health conditions in Maidstone and Malling areas. Activities are chosen by young people and are designed to help encourage new friendships and experiences.
Activities have included art, baking, rock climbing, archery, bushcraft, animal handling, kayaking and so much more!
Connect! is a service for young people aged 11-18 years with autism spectrum conditions (or on the pathway to diagnosis). Groups are run after school and during half term in Maidstone, Snodland and Tonbridge, as well as a regular online gaming meet-up. Activities are autism friendly and are designed for young people to try new things and make friends in a comfortable environment.
Links! service aims to improve the health and wellbeing of young people aged 16 to 19 with experience of mental health problems, by helping them create friendships and build confidence through fun activities. Activities are designed by the young people attending and are run in person in Maidstone and Malling, and online.
How we’ve helped
In the last 12 months…
“My 14 year old son has ASD and struggles to communicate in social situations. Connect! has opened up his world socially with such a great variety of activities to choose from. It has built up his confidence and he looks forward to going.”
