Jay Bone, Digital & IT Officer

Before joining Involve Kent on an Operation and Development Internship, I was studying at University. I found the original advert on my careers portal and chose to apply to Involve after learning more about the brilliant work they do for elderly, vulnerable and isolated clients, and the support they give to the Voluntary and Community sector.

The year I spent as an intern was the best I could ever ask for as my first full-time role, and my work truly made a difference to the community. After working hard to reach as many referrals as possible, at the end of the day I always felt satisfied to know that I had done something both engaging meaningful with my time.

After my internship I decided to stay with Involve, as a Digital & IT Officer, and have progressed well within this role also, gaining new insight into the way I think and solve problems. I have gained a multitude of skills from Involve that I may not have been given the opportunity to learn elsewhere, which I will gladly carry for the rest of my working life.

I am so grateful to Involve for giving me this experience. I hope to continue growing as an employee here at Involve Kent, and continue gaining valuable skills and knowledge, while taking on new challenges and responsibilities.

To anyone thinking of applying, I would say if you’re looking for a role that will provide you with training, a supportive team, and new exciting challenges every day, you will certainly enjoy working here, and I would thoroughly recommend joining us.
