Moving Forwards is a new service especially for young people who have been in care. Trained Care Leavers Navigators who understand the barriers and issues you might face, can help you achieve your goals, and navigate hundreds of opportunities, courses, services, and activities to get your future on track.

      Our Care Leavers Navigator can support you in a variety of ways:

  • Providing face to face, virtual or telephone support as needed, in the community or home visits

  • Looking at your needs holistically by prioritizing your requirements, goals and aspirations

  • Providing motivational interviewing and coaching to help develop an action plan that reflects what matters to you

  • Giving information, advice and guidance so you can access a wide range of statutory and voluntary services, such as; Immigration Support Services, Porchlight, Citizens Advice bureau and much more

  • Developing connections to employment, education, training and volunteering opportunities

  • Supplying links to mental health support, including community provision, apps and NHS as needed

  • Maintaining essential access health care such as vaccination or registering with a GP

  • Assisting with practical elements such as, form filling and attending appointments with you

  • Helping you to access to funds so that you can take part in activities and interests that interest you

  • Ongoing support over 12 months to build emotional resilience, social contacts and knowledge to support you with the transition to independent adulthood
