Partners

We are proud to work in partnership with over 60 charities and voluntary organisations across Kent. By developing a wide network of community partners, we are making a real difference to the lives of people and communities. Our contracted partners benefit from support from other infrastructure organisations, access to wider contacts, upskilling in development and evaluation, as well as wider promotion of services.

Partners and other organisations are also welcomed to join the West Kent Health and Care VCSE Alliance which makes wider system working across health and care more accessible to groups of all sizes. They are also encouraged to apply to our Social Prescribing Community Fund, which awards grants of up to £5,000 to those working with adults in West Kent to provide support, activities and volunteering opportunities. Read more about these below.

Work With Us

We currently work with partners in West and North Kent to deliver services to people over 55 or with complex health needs, which include creative, social, active and other wellbeing groups. We are always on the look out for new partners who might be able to provide the following:

  • Information and advice services
  • Exercise and physical activity groups
  • Social groups
  • Nature-based groups
  • Arts and cultural groups
  • Mental health and wellbeing groups

In addition, we are always interested in hearing from organisations who want to innovate, expand or improve service delivery by co-tendering.

West Kent Health and Care VCSE Alliance

The West Kent Health and Care VCSE Alliance brings together those working in the VCSE closer to health, social care and other statutory services to promote joint working and co-production. Our quarterly forums provide an opportunity to feed into knowledge and experience from the VCSE to enable wider system working, as well as focus on specific issues relating to the sector. In addition, we run two workshops per year to create a knowledge and evidence base which is shared with wider stakeholders including the West Kent Health & Care Partnership (West Kent HCP).

The Alliance is for all organisations, no matter what size. Navigating statutory services can be challenging and this forum aims to break down these barriers and allow all organisations to work closer with health and social care.

Social Prescribing Community Fund

Every year Involve Kent awards £25,000 to the voluntary sector to support social prescribing activities. These small grants of £100 – 2500 are offered to organisations and groups within West Kent to allow them to build capacity, offer a range of services across the area and to promote volunteering.

This year we are particularly looking for organisations who have not previously received a grant or those who are offering niche, new and innovative groups and activities.

To be eligible, you must meet the following:

  • Delivery must be in West Kent (Maidstone, Tonbridge and Malling, Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells)
  • Your group/organisation must have a bank account
  • You must have an up-to-date safeguarding policy and volunteers have DBS checks (where required
