DBS Check Service
How can we help?
Do you need support with completing DBS checks for your employees or volunteers? As an umbrella body we can process and submit Standard and Enhanced DBS applications* on your behalf and we are in direct contact with the DBS providers throughout the checking process to provide a friendly, professional and efficient service. We can provide:
- Support and guidance on eligibility criteria and ID requirements from our experienced staff
- Face to face appointments to manually check ID and the DBS form
- Assistance with accessibility requirements and completing the application form if needed
*Please note, we are unable to carry out checks for sole traders/self-employed applicants who are requesting a check for themselves.
We carry out DBS checks by appointment at our Maidstone office at Turkey Mill during the hours of 9.00 am – 4.00 pm, Monday to Friday. The check usually takes between 30 to 40 minutes to complete.
To find out what ID is required to complete the checks and information about our fees for this service, download the DBS Check Information Sheet below. If you wish to go ahead with us, please complete the External DBS Checklist form along with the the requested adult and/or child workforce level checker screenshots. Once the form has been returned we will be able to proceed with arranging an appointment for the applicant to attend for their DBS check.
The minimum age at which someone can be asked to apply for a DBS check is 16 years old.
There are requirements to ensure that a job role is eligible for a Standard or Enhanced DBS check and for some roles you can request a more detailed DBS check. This can be determined by visiting https://www.gov.uk/find-out-dbs-check to complete the online level checker which will confirm the level of DBS check permitted.
