What we do
Slide Away offers support to children and young people living or attending school in Kent who have been bereaved of a family member or friend or who have a parent or sibling with a life-limiting illness. Bereaved children and young people attend either a Workshop or a Memory Day at which they are helped to understand and manage their grief through a range of carefully crafted therapeutic activities delivered in a safe and caring environment. Children at KS1 or with SEND attend with their parent or carer. At Workshops, we also offer support to the child’s parent or carer in a half-day session. We offer group support for children and young people pre-bereavement. Our aim is for all young people in Kent to have access to bereavement support.
