What we do
Meet at the roundabout opposite Barnardo’s charity shop near Tesco Express, just off Hermitage Lane, south of Maidstone Hospital. Leaving at 11.30, this walk normally lasts around 1 hour, taking in woodland paths and pavements. A variety of lovely routes around the site of the old Oakwood Hospital, past old and modern architecture or through the countryside and woods. Bluebells present in Spring! Suitable for wheelchairs and buggies. Alternative routes available to ensure safe walking possible under all conditions. Walkers normally finish by going to the Blackthorn Café for light refreshments.
