Taming Anxiety and Depression Course



What we do

The course is based on CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, a newer – but also evidence-based! – type of CBT). ACT aims to change our relationship to difficult experiences such that they command less attention from us, thus enabling us to dedicate more time and energy to things that are valuable to us.

The course explores:
– your symptoms of depression and/or anxiety, and how they are maintained
– what is important to you
– what is standing in the way of you dedicating as much time and energy as you would like to what is important to you

We will learn:
– to build a balance of valuable activities, step by step
– to manage difficult thoughts and emotions in such a way that they have less power over you, so you can engage in valuable activities and live the kind of life you want to live
