Update on UOK East Sussex Wellbeing Service

01 Aug 2025

Involve were recently pleased to have been awarded the contract for the UOK East Sussex Wellbeing Service in partnership with Southdown and approached this collaboration with enthusiasm and commitment to deliver a high-quality service. Despite our sincere efforts to establish a productive working relationship, Southdown has made the decision to withdraw from the agreement.

While this is a disappointing outcome for all involved, we respect their decision and take pride in the efforts our team made to explore solutions that would benefit both parties.

Gary Wells, CEO of Involve said, “Involve Kent were excited to deliver a high-quality wellbeing service in East Sussex as part of the UOK partnership. Due to some mobilisation technicalities, Involve and Southdown were unable to complete mobilisation in a timely manner. Out of respect for the staff and service users involved in the transfer, we accept Southdown’s decision to withdraw the contract. We continue to believe in the power of collaboration across the VCSE sector and remain committed to working with partners like Southdown to improve mental health and wellbeing in our communities.”

We remain committed to engaging with our VCSE partners in future initiatives that align with our mission of promoting choice, connecting people and challenging inequalities.
